BOOK REVIEW : A QUEST FOR SPRING

Author : Monica Mujumdar Dixit
Genre : Romantic fiction

It's a story about first love, how two people who have completely opposite personalities yet they fall in love and don't grow out of it over the years. The acceptance of depression is something that I really liked. What was hard for me to accept was how out of the blue the protagonist,Amolika was assigned an investigative job, I really felt that it should have been played out more gradually.

For me the first half of the novel was slow paced and lengthy but the second half kept me engaged and was fast paced. The character development was good. I felt this book didn't require the day to day activities mentioned, it bored me a bit.
This story is a bit cliched where two separated lovers meet after years only to reunite again, but I being a true Bollywood lover at heart felt relieved that they reunited.
Raehan and Amolika come from two very different worlds. And for the time that their worlds overlap and stick to one path, life seems beautiful. Between projects at college and hanging out with friends, the two of them come to a startling revelation that involves a bond of love between them. Sixteen years pass, when fate decides to rekindle their bond – only this time, the challenges are exacerbated by the unresolved baggage of the past.
Towards the end, I was attached to the characters' so much that the ending of this book lingered with me for a while.

My Verdict- 3/5
