BOOK REVIEW : THE QUEEN OF HEARTS

Do you like watching medical dramas? or you like anything about the medical profession? if your answer is yes,then this book is for you as it's backdrop is of a hospital and the life of doctors.The story is narrated by Emma and Zadie. two best friends,about how they are going about their daily life and the secret of past lurking around the corner.
I must admit I really enjoyed the hospital scenarios mentioned in the book but it did get too much for me when some chapters were just that and nothing else. The build up to the suspense was quite good, it made me keep turning the pages, the way of writing is very fluid. The author has added a bit of humour in the book in the way of a 3 year old girl, daughter of Zadie who tries to act like an adult but sounds hilarious.
Now,the suspense of the novel did not live up to my expectations because of a very good build up I really expected something amazing and for me it was not, maybe it will be so for you. If not for the story, I know I would have bought this book for it's cover, because it's just so beautiful.
This book really did make me think,"how well do I really know someone?" as that was this book's tag line I think the job done by the author is commendable, not forgetting that this is the debut novel of the author. I would definitely like to read more from the author, although this book could not completely rule my heart.
