BOOK REVIEW : THE SUBTLE ART OF NOT GIVING A F*CK
Author : Mark Manson
Genre : Self-help
"The desire for more positive experiences is itself a negative experience, and paradoxically, the acceptance of one's negative experience is itself a positive experience."
Reading this book has been nothing less than an amazing experience for me. I am not a big fan of self-help books because most of them talk about the same thing again and again, there is just nothing new. But this book, just hits it out of the park, from page one it got my attention.
The author starts every chapter with a short-story and takes it forward from there. This book is not exactly about not giving a f*ck at all, but what is more important to give a f*ck about. There are some really hard-hitting truths in it.
The name is catchy enough to make almost anyone pick this book up and read. The writing is very simple, so that anyone can read it. There are some quotes which I really liked-

The name is catchy enough to make almost anyone pick this book up and read. The writing is very simple, so that anyone can read it. There are some quotes which I really liked-
- "Self-improvement and success often occur together. But that doesn't necessarily mean they're the same thing."
- "Pain is an inextricable thread in the fabric of life, and to tear it out is not only impossible, but destructive : attempting to tear it out unravels everything else with it."
- "And like the road not taken, it was the fucks not given that made all the difference."
- "Because happiness requires struggle. It grows from problems. Joy doesn't just sprout out of the ground like daisies and rainbows."
And there are so many more of such quotes.
Go read this book if you feel like a failure, or you think the path is always so hard for you or just to know how to live better.
My Verdict- 5/5
Though I have learnt to overlook the negativity yet I am dying to read this book.
