EXPERIENCE AT : THE RED KETTLE

Overall Experience : 4/5
Food : 4/5
Ambience :4/5

The Red kettle is another addition to the infamous champa gali.
Not located in the heart of it but does add on to the feel of the place. It is a pretty, cosy cafe to lookout for.

The heart of the cafe is the variety of tea it serves, which is upto a whopping number of 56.It has a specials menu that changes daily so you can expect something out of the box everyday.

Ambience: The place has a cosy vibe during the evening, with pink walls, cute furniture and frames with gags on tea.
It's pretty spacious and it wouldn't be a problem if you come solo or in large groups. You can easily occupy yourself with the delicous food and available board games and books. The staff is courteous .

Food: We started off our evening with their wide variety of tea. It wasn't possible to drink all of them so we ordered of that was need of the hour and the other with a fancy name and description.

1.Anti cough and cold - This tea has been described as a blend of himalayan oregano , thyme ,Tulsi , peppermint and bay leaf to provide relief against cough and cold.
The texture of the tea was like water. Only, it was hot and had a peppermint fragrance which made it differ.
As promised it was able to provide a certain level of relief against the cold I had, but I believe it had the same effect as any cup of hot water would have had.

2.Silver needle white Tea : This tea was listed under the premium category of their teas.It also had the look of hot water but was slightly yellow in colour.
It had an aftertaste of tea leaves which nice to the taste buds.

PS- I am a person who totally loves to drink regular desi chai, green tea or lemon tea. The Red Kettle sure has various types of Tea in their menu, but honestly, I don't think it would appeal to a large set of customers.

3.Kitkat shake - The shake tasted okay only thing questionable was the quantity.

4.Rosemary tart- It was a toasted bread with onion rosemary jam topped with slices of pear. The USP of this item was the fact that the onion jam is native to their own kitchen and is not something that is available in the market.
Crunchy bread, sweet and sour jam along with fresh pear slice gave an amazing blast of flavours to my tastbuds which I absolutely loved.

5.Classic veg pasta in mixed/pink Sauce with garlic bread :Something was totally off about the sauce and the flavour.Garlic bread was overpowered with the taste of garlic. It was a big no for me

6.Chicken seekh sandwich - The sandwich lacked the magic of sauces in it. It tasted really dry and quantity of chicken was less enough to get the taste of bread over chicken.

7.Chicken popcron - They were really crispy which is one of the key point of any chicken popcorn. However, they lacked a bit in terms of masala but tasted okay with the mayo.

8.Chicken salami - chicken pieces in a spicy sauce with onions. It tasted really good but presentation can be worked upon.

9.Rawa prawns - This was the first time I tried prawns. The prawns were powdered with some masala and were absolutely delicious in taste.

10.Mud Tart - It was absolutely delicious. High on chocolate, low on sugar. A rare combination to find

11.Apple Tart - Apple tart was also mouth watering and amazing in taste.

Overall Experience: The Red Kettle offers a new range of menu in terms of tea and many food items.
If you want to get out of the pizza, pasta, dahi kebab zone, this is the place to be.
